The Financial Times is holding a workshop, 'So You Want To Be a NED?' on Tuesday 21 March in Singapore. Suitable for aspiring and/or recently appointed board directors, non-executive directors and senior leaders, this half day event is a fantastic insight into the boardroom and demonstrates the fundamental differences between executive and non-executive roles.
Learning outcomes include understanding the audit committee, corporate governance and the legal liabilities of directors. This is the only workshop specifically for non-executives that covers the all important boardroom behaviours - crucial for understanding how to be an effective member of the board. Participants will hear from a partner of an executive search firm about getting NED roles and the day will finish with a personal view of 'Life as a NED' from Aliza Knox, a highly experienced non-executive.
